Group Disability Insurance - Manhattan & Westchester County, NY, Fairfield, CT, and New Jersey

The Social Security Administration estimates that just over one in four of today’s 20-year-olds will become disabled before age 67. What’s more, another study shows that you’re three times more likely to become disabled for a year before age 65 than die. And, even more disconcerting is that 80% of the U.S. workforce is living paycheck to paycheck. If a principal wage earner were unable to work because of an illness or injury, without the protection that group disability provides, just imagine the financial devastation a family faces.

Every consumer is vulnerable, with the probability of being out for an extended period of time applying to all Americans.

That is why at A.J. Benet we understand that group disability insurance is coverage that should be part of everyone’s basic financial plan.

As part of your benefits plan, you can offer a Group Short & Long Term Disability programto your employees so that they have financial security should they become disabled. Short-term disability pays a percentage of an employee’s salary for a specified amount of time should he or she become ill or injured and cannot perform the duties of his/her job. Coverage usually begins anywhere from one to 14 days after your employee suffers a condition that leaves him or her unable to work. When an employee cannot work for an extended period of time, a long-term disability plan can help cover a portion of the employee’s salary.

Help give your employees financial security with group disability.
